It’s simply the perfect place to feel at home! This natural-stone house, with a beautiful view and 180 m² of living space, is detached on three sides. It also includes a 50 m² outbuilding with a rose arbor and a 350 m² garden, as well as two sun terraces and outdoor seating areas. One of them is nicely sheltered and a truly cozy spot—it would be perfect for a small pool or hot tub.
This antique Tuscan natural stone house (rustico) is located in the area of Vinci—the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci—and Lamporecchio, 30 minutes from Florence in the Montalbano hills, in a very quiet setting at the end of a private road, approximately 150 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by olive groves and two neighboring houses. The white house next door, which has an entrance on the other side, is used as a small B&B by the very friendly neighbors.
The rustico was extensively restored and renovated by a German family between 1995 and 2000. The house is surrounded by a terraced garden featuring a large covered outdoor seating area, a beautiful, large fieldstone wall, and two sun terraces, as well as ten olive trees (yielding an average of about 10 liters of oil per year in total) and a 1/3 share in a large communal courtyard. It is possible to purchase the neighboring property to build a larger pool or establish an animal farm.
The house is almost entirely furnished (a few individual pieces will be taken with us) with antique, valuable country-style furniture. The rooms have a clean, open layout, with no nooks or crannies. On the first floor, there is a fantastic panoramic window.
The stone house has heating in all rooms (central heating via a wood-burning stove (termocucina)). It can be heated using wood, pellets or briquettes. Telephone and internet connections are available.
There is an addition with a utility room featuring all the necessary hookups (allowing for the easy installation of an additional bathroom), as well as 3,000-liter water tanks, a washing machine, and a hot water boiler. The property has a contractually guaranteed right to draw water from the spring, which bubbles up steadily. A very nice couple lives in the adjacent house (white with red shutters); they run a small B&B and are happy to keep an eye on things. However, their entrances face completely the other way.
