That’s very interesting!
Every year, Livorno celebrates ‘Effetto Venezia’, and there’s a good reason for that. Along its many canals, you can feel (almost) as if you were in Venice. Except that everything is a bit bigger. Livorno is a port city with a special charm. Everything is a bit more grandiose and perhaps a bit rougher around the edges. It’s unique and you have to love it, but it certainly is something special. And on one of these pretty canals lies the “Palazzo”, completely renovated as recently as 2010, with 15 flats and a very friendly neighbourhood. On the 5th floor, easily accessible via a well-maintained staircase and lift, is this charming flat with a fantastic roof terrace offering sweeping views over the city’s rooftops to the landing stage for the great “ships of the seven seas” and out to the open sea. Here you can breathe in the sea air, feel a sense of freedom, enjoy all the benefits of the big city, and yet still enjoy an oasis and such a lovely retreat.
